It's difficult to remember anything else today. We remember the tragedy, the victims and the heroes.

I love photography, my grandkids, my sons and their wives. I love my mother, brothers and sisters and their families. I miss my little sister and brother... Heaven is so far away ...

I love boxers and have two waiting for me at Rainbow Bridge. I love and pray for our soldiers. I thank God that we have wonderful men and women who are willing to fight for our freedom. I respect all of our veterans, they are special people who can never be repaid for their honorable service, we owe them a great deal more than we can ever repay.

I love Jesus! Someday I'll see His beautiful face. I can never express my gratitude for what He has done for me. He is my Saviour, my strength, my comfort.

I love rain... and storms; thunder and lightening. I love the falling snow, leaves as they drift upon the wind. I love looking at the stars as they twinkle in the darkness of night.

I love little babies that seem so helpless. I love toddlers and children as they laugh at the simple things in life. I love teens who change their minds every other day and older folks who do the same. I love people my age who wish they were young again but not sure it's worth going through all those "memorable moments" another time.

I love my wonderful friends and I love a very special "friend".

I love catching bits and pieces of this awesome life in photographs. I love capturing moments in time which will never, ever happen again... moment to cherish, share with family and friends, and never let fade like memories often do.

There is so much to love and I'm thankful for my many blessings.

Thank you, Lord!

Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves for they shall always be amused. :)

I CAN'T DRIVE 55
by Sammy Hagar

One foot on the brake and one on the gas
Well there's too much traffic and I can't pass No
So I try my best illegal move
A big black-and-white come an' touch my groove again

Go on and write me up for 125
Post my face Wanted dead or alive
Take my license and all that jive I can't drive 55

Oh No Huh
So I sign my name on number 24 Hey
And the judge said Boy Just one more Huh
I'm gonna throw your a** in the city joint
Looked me in the eye Said You get my point I say yeah Oh yeah

Go on and write me up for 125
Post my face Wanted dead or alive
Take my license and all that jive I can't drive 55
Oh yeah I CAN'T DRIVE 55 I CAN'T DRIVE 55
I CAN'T DRIVE 55 I CAN'T DRIVE 55

When I drive that slow It's hard to steer
And I can't take my car outta second gear
What used to take 2 hours Now takes all day Huh
It took me 16 hours to get to L.A.

Go on and write me up for 125
Post my face Wanted dead or alive
Take my license and all that jive I can't drive 55
No No No I can't drive I CAN'T DRIVE 55
I can't drive I CAN'T DRIVE 55 I CAN'T DRIVE 55

Every year on your birthday, you get a chance to start new.

The Blue Rose

I sm honored this was shared with me by a wonderful friend, Jay. After reading it I hope you feel the same.

Blue Roses

Why do I always have to be the one that starts to do laundry and there's no detergent? I guess it was time for me to do my "Dollar Store" run, which included light bulbs, paper towels, trash bags and Clorox. So off I go.

I scurried around the store, gathered up my goodies, and headed for the checkout counter only to be blocked in the narrow aisle by a young man that appeared to be about sixteen-years-old. I wasn't in a hurry, so I patiently waited for the boy to realize that I was there. This was when he waved his hands excitedly in the air and declared in a loud voice, "Mommy, I'm over here."

It was obvious now that he was mentally challenged, and also startled as he turned and saw me standing so close to him, waiting to squeeze by. His eyes widened and surprise exploded on his face as I said, "Hey Buddy, what's your name?"

"My name is Denny and I'm shopping with my mother," he responded proudly. "Wow," I said, "that's a cool name; I wish my name was Denny, but my name is Hal."

"Hal like Halloween?" he asked.

"Yes," I answered. "How old are you, Denny?"

"How old am I now, Mommy?" he asked his mother as she slowly came over from the next aisle.

"You're fifteen-years-old Denny; now be good boy and let the man pass by."

I acknowledged her and continued to talk to Denny for several more
minutes about summer, bicycles and school. I watched his brown eyes dance with excitement because he was the center of someone's attention. He then abruptly turned and headed toward the toy section.

Denny's mom had a puzzled look on her face and thanked me for taking the time to talk with her son. She told me that most people wouldn't even look at him, much less talk to him. I told her that it was my pleasure, and then I said something I have no idea where it came from, other than by the prompting of the Holy Spirit. I told her that there are plenty of red, yellow and pink roses in God's garden, however, "Blue Roses" are very rare and should be appreciated for their beauty and distinctiveness.

You see, Denny is a "Blue Rose" and if someone doesn't stop and smell that rose with their heart and touch that rose with their kindness, then they've missed a blessing from God.

She was silent for a second, then with a tear in her eye she asked, "Who are you?" Without thinking I said, "Oh, I'm probably just a daffodil or maybe even a dandelion," but I sure love living in God's garden."
